First trip!

Katie left for Italy yesterday with Gigi and nonna! It was pretty sad for me at the airport, seeing my little chuchulotta in her little pram being rolled away into a very big airport terminal. We had to wake her from her sleep of course and she pretty much stayed awake till they went in. I haven't heard from them yet and I'm dying to find out how the flight went.
And poor katie and nonna had to wait more than half an hour after checking their passports coz the immigration hounds gave gigi such a hard time over his employment pass. He's forgotten to renew it but the last time this happened they just got him to fill out an immigration form. I think they had 15 minutes to get to the plane. It was a drama they could definitely have done without, especially Katie, who had no idea what the hell was going on. But she seemed ok. NOnna was doing well to keep her calm. And she was just being her cute little self.
But she had a big day altogether. We went for Gymboree, ANgel and her kids came over for an hour or so, and then Jennifer paid a visit. All wanted to see Katie before she left!
I'm alright. I was a bit upset last night driving home. Of course i had to make another trip to the airport at 6 am today to send Dominga. She was 14 kilos overweight and I had to pay 112 dollars for her. She's hopelessly lost! She's getting a bit too dependent on us when it comes to money. I'll have to have a little talk with her when she comes back- IF she comes back. She was quite teary at the airport. I think shes grateful. Either that or she's feeling guilty coz she's not thinking of coming back! We'll find out in a month!
I've got my day pretty much sorted. I'm going to do aboslutely nothing! Once I speak to gigi, i'm heading to the pool. 30 laps today! Then I;m going to lie by the pool with a book and drink, and stay there till i burn into a crisp. Then it's dinner tonight with margie and heather, sizzling mongolian is on the menu... sounds interesting! Then it's drinks and a lie in tomorrow! Sounds heavenly!
But I miss Kate. It's probably really good for the 2 of us in the long run. This break will give me a chance to replenish my energy and also to reflect about muy first 8 months as a mummy. I just hope she'll be ok in a new environment.
